Helen Ellis, M.A. is a New Zealand researcher, author, anthropologist and Founder of DistanceFamilies.com. She is also the author of the Distance Families Book Series. Three of her four children and six of her seven grandchildren live 16 to 30 flight hours away in America, England and Scotland. In her research she asks the question: “How is distance familying for you?” Her book series combines her personal experiences with her extensive global research.
Helen is a cheerleader for all generations of Distance Families. Her goal is to help each generation understand ‘how it is’ for the other. With understanding comes empathy and empathy is a good thing for Distance Families.
